Complete the Form and send it in

STEP 3

Receive your
Preauthorization Notice

If your Preauthorization Form is approved by the Department of Education, The Department will complete Part IV of the Form and send it back to you along with a Preauthorization Notice via the U.S. Mail within 30 days. You will need a copy of this form to make your donation.

STEP 4

Complete the Preauthorization Notice and send in your donation

Fill out the Preauthorization Notice and send it, along with your check (payable to the Potomac Conference Education Foundation), to:

within 180 days from the date of the Preauthorization Notice.

STEP 5

Receive your receipt
and certificate

Once your donation has been received, you will get a donation receipt from the Potomac Conference Education Foundation and tax credit certificate from the Virginia department of Education. Keep these for when it’s time to file your taxes.

STEP 6

File your taxes and save!

Fill out your taxes using your certificate and receipt to reduce your taxes.
